Jacob Shteingart, B.Sc.

Assistant Coordinator
Jacob graduated from Princeton University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy. At Princeton, Jacob also completed comprehensive pre-medical coursework through which he developed fundamental experience in biology and computer science. Extracurricularly, Jacob worked as an assistant technician in the Ploss lab, where he performed surgery and colony maintenance on humanized mouse models, contributing to several experiments studying the pathogenesis of viral hepatitis. Jacob is also currently engaged in additional biology and neuroscience coursework part-time at Hunter College, continuing to grow his scientific base and expertise.
After graduating, Jacob worked at ClearView Healthcare Partners, a life sciences business consulting firm for healthcare clients. There, Jacob coupled broad scientific insight with business strategy to generate near- and long-term solutions, including R&D resource allocation, payer dossier preparation, and launch strategy.
Now, as a member of the QN Lab, Jacob combines deep scientific knowledge with acute interpersonal sensitivity, serving as the backbone for the lab's ongoing healthy subject recruitment efforts and communications. Working with subjects daily, Jacob distills complex scientific ideas into lay language and navigates personalized concerns as subjects proceed through the recruitment and scanning process. Jacob is also engaged in paper writing and editing for the lab, helping drive research pertinent to amyloid beta and Tau accumulation, and methods for calculating total intracranial volume.
